Soil and climate Grapes come from the three main terroir of Gaillac : "graves", "premières côtes" and calcareous region around Cordes.
Grape varieties Duras 70%, Syrah 30%
Climate conditions After a rainy spring, summer was dry but not hot. Nights always were cool, preserving grapes acidity. Sunny September allowed good harvest conditions in the second part of the month.
Type of winemaking The must fermented at a controlled temperature of 18°C. It is partly obtained through bleeding of a red wine tank and from direct pressing.
Type of ageing This rosé was aged a few months on its fine lees. Bottling was made on March 19, 2009.
Tasting notes This wine develops intense aromas of red fruits (stawberries and raspberries), completed by black-currants and spices. It is charming and well balanced on the palate and expresses a very fruity finish.
Food recommandation Serve at 8 to 10°C. on summer dishes like sliced meats, salads, barbecued meat and vegetables or just by itself as an aperitive.
